Jaybeast17 DRAFTING FOR THEPanthers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Panthers
Overall
B-
ValueC

TradesB-
FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Panthers, and a B- to prove it. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Panthers reached some 163 spots for Dasan McCullough, and value like that does not grow back. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
On value alone, Lomu makes the weekend a net positive. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick19
Rnd1
Joshua Josephs
They reached into another round for Joshua Josephs, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick51
Rnd2
Chris Brazzell II
Steal is underselling it; Chris Brazzell II at the Round 2 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick83
Rnd3
Devin Moore
Devin Moore in pick 83 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick119
Rnd4
Caleb Lomu
They robbed the room for Caleb Lomu here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick156
Rnd5
Jaishawn Barham
They will replay Jaishawn Barham at slot 156 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick157
Rnd5
Dasan McCullough
Dasan McCullough in the 157th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The roster reasoning here is anyone's guess.
Pick198
Rnd6
Kaleb Elarms-Orr
The board fumbled Kaleb Elarms-Orr all the way to Round 6, Pick 19, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick235
Rnd7
Noah Thomas
They talked themselves into Noah Thomas at pick No. 235, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
