The Bears clearly saw something nobody else did in Derek Williams Jr., taking him 243 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.

The Tate value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

So much rides on Caleb Lomu that the real verdict is a season or two away.
