Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall C-
ValueF NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C- for the Ravens.

There is reaching, and then there is Dominic Zvada at slot 115. The Ravens jumped the board by 115 and dared it to prove them wrong. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C- in the wash.

On value alone, Brailsford makes the weekend a net positive. With cornerback, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on specialist is the choice that costs them.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Hit on Blake Miller and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Blake Miller
In the Round 1 slot they get a building block for the line, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick45 Rnd2 Eric Rivers
A wild overpay on Eric Rivers in slot 45, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick80 Rnd3 Olaivavega Ioane
Steal is underselling it; Olaivavega Ioane at No. 80 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick115 Rnd4 Dominic Zvada
Of all the spots to shop, they chose specialist. Dominic Zvada in pick No. 115 leaves cornerback, interior defensive lineman and other spots for later.
Pick152 Rnd5 Trey Moore
They talked themselves into Trey Moore at the 152nd pick, and the board did not agree. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick160 Rnd5 Jalen Stroman
The board fumbled Jalen Stroman all the way to Round 5, Pick 22, and they scooped it up. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick172 Rnd5 Parker Brailsford
Circle this one: Parker Brailsford at pick 172 is a fall that decides a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick173 Rnd5 Nadame Tucker
Nadame Tucker slipping to Round 5, Pick 35 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick249 Rnd7 Caullin Lacy
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Caullin Lacy. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick252 Rnd7 Reggie Grimes II
Reggie Grimes II in the 252nd overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
