Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Jordyn Tyson got past him. The Texans do not have to explain a thing at pick 243. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

The Texans indulged a want in Delane while a need in running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

Jonathan Taylor gives the group a proven body among the projects. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

In the end it comes back to Fernando Mendoza, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
