The tape said wait; the Jaguars did not. AJ Green went at pick No. 60, a good 430 picks before the board was ready. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C.

The Mateer value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. With offensive lineman, cornerback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on edge rusher is the choice that costs them.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through offensive lineman. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Hit on AJ Green and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
