There is reaching, and then there is Aamil Wagner at pick No. 138. The 49ers jumped the board by 27 and dared it to prove them wrong.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Hill Jr.. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
