The Chiefs fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Chiefs should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. However the rest shakes out, Reese at that price is a win they earned. With wide receiver, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

If Washington Jr. pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
