The Cowboys got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

When the story of this class is written, it opens with Scooby Williams at the 238th pick, a reach of 158 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Downs falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
