The Cowboys got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D+.

There is reaching, and then there is Scooby Williams at pick No. 229. The Cowboys jumped the board by 167 and dared it to prove them wrong. A D+ that will need time and luck to look better.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. They banked enough surplus on Love to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
