The Cowboys bled value on every deal, hence the D-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Cowboys reached some 45 spots for Logan Taylor, and value like that does not grow back. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Spending an early pick on safety with wide receiver and running back open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They banked enough surplus on Muhammad to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and wide receiver is still a hole.
