When a board-topper like Spencer Fano slides to pick 176, you do not overthink it, and the Cowboys did not.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. With wide receiver, linebacker and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on edge rusher is the choice that costs them.

They are betting Howell proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
