The Cowboys kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

There is reaching, and then there is Mike Washington Jr. at the Round 4 slot. The Cowboys jumped the board by 26 and dared it to prove them wrong. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Cowboys indulged a want in Howell while a need in tight end and interior defensive lineman stayed open. However the rest shakes out, Nelson at that price is a win they earned.

The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
