You can draft well and still miss the point. The Colts did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The Endries pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

The back end got a real overhaul.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
