Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Patriots spent the 132nd overall pick on A'Marion Peterson, a name the board had a full 130 spots lower.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Johnson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
