There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Cardinals never got to the one that mattered most. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Slaughter at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
