A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bears to a C-.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bears took J.C. Davis a full 36 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. It washes out to a C-, no better and no worse.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They banked enough surplus on Allen to cover a lot of smaller sins.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
