For all the boxes ticked, the Bears skipped the loudest one: edge rusher is exactly as bare as it was. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Every board in the league had Louis lower, and that gap is the story. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
