Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

FutureA+
More right than wrong for the Browns, and a B to prove it. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Browns reached some 55 spots for David Oke, and value like that does not grow back. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Christian Gonzalez chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick11
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
In No. 11 they get a No. 1 receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
By-the-book stuff, Olaivavega Ioane at the 41st pick squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick64
Rnd2
LaNorris Sellers
LaNorris Sellers in the 64th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick72
Rnd3
Caleb Tiernan
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Caleb Tiernan. The roster fit checks out.
Pick73
Rnd3
Mikail Kamara
Mikail Kamara in slot 73 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick107
Rnd4
David Oke
This one needs a full-page explanation: David Oke in the Round 4 slot, miles early. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick144
Rnd5
Jacob Rodriguez
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jacob Rodriguez well ahead of where he belonged. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick146
Rnd5
Gracen Halton
Gracen Halton in pick 146 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick148
Rnd5
Jyaire Hill
A tidy little value on Jyaire Hill in the Round 5 slot, a step better than break-even. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick207
Rnd6
Mark Fletcher Jr.
No edge and no loss on Mark Fletcher Jr. in the 207th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick242
Rnd7
Barion Brown
They paid sticker price for Barion Brown in No. 242, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
