The phones were a trap the Packers kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

If Slater pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Packers indulged a want in Bowman Jr. while a need in edge rusher, quarterback and other spots stayed open.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Tuten steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
