Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Packers spent Round 7, Pick 21 on Gentry Williams, a name most had 56 spots down the list. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Skattebo. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
