You can draft well and still miss the point. The 49ers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
