The steal of the weekend belongs to the 49ers and West: D.

Somebody took the 49ers to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The West pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
