A costly weekend of dealing drags the Packers to a D.

The war room fell hard for Joshua Simon, and it showed at pick No. 250: 58 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The Gordon II steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
