The Packers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Packers torched the value chart for Ethan Downs, taking him 35 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. With quarterback and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Brooks falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
