There is reaching, and then there is Ahmed Hassanein at pick 209. The Chargers jumped the board by 27 and dared it to prove them wrong.

Hampton at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
