This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Ollie Gordon II, the No. 164 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 239. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If Cook pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
