The Packers lost the trade table, and the D+ tells the story.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent Round 7, Pick 33 on Joshua Simon, a name the board had a full 41 spots lower. A D+ that will need time and luck to look better.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

However the rest shakes out, Trapilo at that price is a win they earned. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
