This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Hollin Pierce, the No. 118 name on the board, stolen at the 177th overall pick. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They will need McLaughlin to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

The trade work was a quiet net positive. They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
