Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Joshua Farmer, the No. 123 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 200th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Every board in the league had Williams lower, and that gap is the story. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
