The Packers let Watts fall into their laps, and walked away with a D.

Nobody else had Brandon Adams anywhere near No. 220. The Packers did, by 32 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

They banked enough surplus on Watts to cover a lot of smaller sins. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
