The Packers won the night they stopped Rourke from sliding. Grade: B. Somebody in Round 7, Pick 21 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Kurtis Rourke, the No. 144 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
If Griffith pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
