The Trey Wedig selection is the head-turner. The Chargers reached 91 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Allen. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
