Thirty-one other rooms let Danny Stutsman slide, and the Packers were the ones holding the card at pick No. 239. Highway robbery. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The Williams reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
