You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Fred Davis in Round 7, Pick 40.

On value alone, Helm makes the weekend a net positive. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The Packers paired the rookies with proven help, Myles Garrett leading the way.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
