You build a draft on nights like this. Cody Simon had no business being available in pick No. 196, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Scott has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
