Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB-
The Packers won the night they stopped Stutsman from sliding. Grade: B+. You build a draft on nights like this. Danny Stutsman had no business being available in pick No. 196, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.
Reaching for Dart left real value on the table behind him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick54
Rnd2
Trey Amos
Trey Amos in No. 54 is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick87
Rnd3
Jaxson Dart
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jaxson Dart in the Round 3 slot, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick122
Rnd4
Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson in slot 122 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick158
Rnd5
Connor Colby
They liked Connor Colby enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 158. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick196
Rnd6
Danny Stutsman
Taking Danny Stutsman in the 196th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick237
Rnd7
Jonah Monheim
A offensive lineman of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 21 is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick250
Rnd7
Jack Kiser
They will replay Jack Kiser at pick No. 250 for years; that is how good the value is. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
