Draft Grade — Packers

Henderson should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 60 name on the board, stolen at No. 196. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Every board in the league had Batty lower, and that gap is the story. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Will Johnson
In slot 23 they get a potential shutdown corner, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick54
Rnd2
Trey Amos
Trey Amos in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick87
Rnd3
Jihaad Campbell
A linebacker of that caliber at the 87th pick is the definition of value, full stop. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick122
Rnd4
Rylie Mills
They went early on Rylie Mills in pick 122, and the value did not follow. The roster fit checks out.
Pick158
Rnd5
Kyren Lacy
Kyren Lacy in Round 5, Pick 21 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick196
Rnd6
TreVeyon Henderson
They robbed the room for TreVeyon Henderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick237
Rnd7
Tyler Batty
This one needs a full-page explanation: Tyler Batty in the 237th overall pick, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick250
Rnd7
Garrett Dellinger
Garrett Dellinger at No. 250 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
