FutureA+
Grand theft in the 250th pick: the Packers steal Skattebo and grade out a C. The rest of the league will want that one back. Cam Skattebo tumbling to the Packers in Round 7, Pick 34 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C.
Every board in the league had Davis lower, and that gap is the story. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.
If Tyleik Williams and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick Analysis
Pick55
Rnd2
Tyleik Williams
Tyleik Williams at pick No. 55 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick87
Rnd3
Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston in the Round 3 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick122
Rnd4
Xavier Watts
Somehow Xavier Watts was still sitting there in No. 122, and they pounced on premier safety value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick123
Rnd4
Tory Horton
Tory Horton at Round 4, Pick 22 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick158
Rnd5
Jake Majors
Circle this one: Jake Majors at pick 158 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick196
Rnd6
Barrett Carter
You do not let a linebacker like Barrett Carter reach slot 196 and blink. They did not. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick199
Rnd6
Tyler Batty
Tyler Batty at the 199th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick200
Rnd6
Cam Miller
A real head-scratcher, Cam Miller in the 200th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick237
Rnd7
Garrett Dellinger
They jumped the gun on Garrett Dellinger, taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick250
Rnd7
Cam Skattebo
They will replay Cam Skattebo at the Round 7 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick251
Rnd7
Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at the 251st overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick252
Rnd7
Mitchell Evans
A wild overpay on Mitchell Evans in No. 252, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick254
Rnd7
Fred Davis
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Fred Davis well ahead of where he belonged. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
