A weekend the Packers spent fighting the board, and losing. F. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent pick No. 251 on Arian Smith, a name the board had a full 103 spots lower. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.
Landing Stutsman that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.
They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. Adding Zak Zinter by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
