The Packers bet big and early on Hayden Conner, 216 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

McLaughlin at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
