Draft Grade — Bills
Overall
C
ValueB-

FutureC+
The Bills got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the C. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bills took Ricky White III a full 49 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C.
On value alone, Walker makes the weekend a net positive. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Spending an early pick on cornerback with safety, edge rusher and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Azareye'h Thomas
In the 30th overall pick they get a potential shutdown corner, though the board says they badly overpaid.
Pick35
Rnd2
Tetairoa McMillan
They robbed the room for Tetairoa McMillan here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick56
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker in pick No. 56 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick132
Rnd4
Denzel Burke
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Denzel Burke adds a cornerback and leaves safety, edge rusher and other spots untouched.
Pick151
Rnd5
JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues at pick 151 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick169
Rnd5
Ty Robinson
No edge and no loss on Ty Robinson in slot 169; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick173
Rnd5
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson in pick 173 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick177
Rnd6
Ricky White III
They reached into another round for Ricky White III, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
