Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Lions spent pick No. 102 on Kyle Ford, a name the board had a full 289 spots lower.

On value alone, Belton makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
