There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Browns started one anyway for Antwane Wells Jr., 95 picks ahead of schedule.

Mondon Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
