The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Lions reached some 237 spots for Deshawn Pace, and value like that does not grow back.

They banked enough surplus on Burch to cover a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

If RJ Oben and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
