The Patriots bled value on every deal, hence the D-.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Tyler Loop, 155 picks early at pick 171.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

However the rest shakes out, Emmanwori at that price is a win they earned. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

In the 4th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. A real need, handled.

Nick Emmanwori in slot 38 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

A reach on Jayden Higgins in pick 46; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

They paid sticker price for Carson Schwesinger in the Round 3 slot, and that is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
