Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureC+
Flashes of a plan, unevenly executed. Packers: C+. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Packers spent the 246th pick on Cameron Rising, a name most had 174 spots down the list.
On value alone, Green makes the weekend a net positive. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
Pick Analysis
Pick61
Rnd2
A'Mauri Washington
A premium they did not need to pay, A'Mauri Washington a notch or two before his time. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick93
Rnd3
Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II at the Round 3 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick125
Rnd4
Cayden Green
They barely believed it either: Cayden Green still on the board at the 125th overall pick. It fills a real need, too.
Pick193
Rnd6
Isaiah Jatta
They did well to land Isaiah Jatta in pick No. 193, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick206
Rnd6
Alex Birchmeier
They left a pile of value on the table to take Alex Birchmeier this early at Round 6, Pick 26. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick209
Rnd6
Princewill Umanmielen
A big swing on Princewill Umanmielen at pick 209, well ahead of any board in the building. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick215
Rnd6
Bear Alexander
They reached into another round for Bear Alexander, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick246
Rnd7
Cameron Rising
A wild overpay on Cameron Rising in Round 7, Pick 29, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
