The Commanders clearly saw something nobody else did in Vincent Anthony Jr., taking him 65 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. That Cooper Jr. pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Commanders indulged a want in Hill Jr. while a need in quarterback stayed open.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
