The Broncos put a flag in the ground for Thor Griffith, 43 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Taylor falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The veteran additions, Jeff Okudah chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
