Call it larceny. Charles Grant sat on the board until the Round 5 slot, and the Panthers did not need to be asked twice. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Grover Stewart gives the group a proven body among the projects.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
