The Dolphins treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 252nd pick on Graham Mertz a full 70 spots early.

That Neal pick is the receipt they will wave around later. It is not that Winston Jr. is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first.
